The Boss

 By:  John The Violator

Bruce Springsteen, known by his millions and millions of fans simply as The Boss is hands down the best vocalists of our era.  We are lucky to live on this earth at the same time as him, and without a doubt the biggest footprint of our generation will be left by Bruce’s size 13’s.

If you turn on your radio right now, there is a 90 percent chance that the first song you hear will be a Springsteen classic.  If the first song you hear was not written or performed by The Boss you should change the station immediately, because obviously the DJ (radio personality) doesn’t have great taste in music.

The Boss has won a total of 13 Grammy awards which is pretty sweet.  He won his first Grammy in 1984 when he won the Best Male Rock Performance award for the classic Dancing in the Dark, he has basically been kicking ass ever since.  They wouldn’t call him The Boss if he was lame or if he sucked.

One time I was jamming out to Streets of Philadelphia so hard that when I came to, I was no longer a mortal being, I had actually become one with Bruce.  I was so intertwined with his greatness that my life would never be the same.  I was so frickin pumped that when he took home 4 Grammys for the Steets of Philadelphia soundtrack later that year I didn’t stop pumping my fist until 2 years later when I turned 16.  The only reason I stopped fist rocking was because I was taking my driving test, and my driving instructor said he wouldn’t pass me unless I kept my hands at 10 and 2.  Since then, the driver’s manual has changed to recommend driving with your hands and 9 and 3, but Springsteen hasn’t changed at all!  He is still the hard rocking guy from New Jersey that we fell in love with in the 80’s, couldn’t live without in the 90’s and worship in the 2000’s.

Next time you turn on Nick at Nite, or TV Land and the lame ass show Who’s the Boss? comes on, I want you to remember one thing.  Tony Danza is NOT the boss!  There is only one boss and his name is Bruce mother fucking Springsteen.

  1. I thought you and your BFF were both huge Danza fans…..can’t there be 2 bosses?

  2. 80’s Tony Danza was cool, but lately his game has been slippin. I don’t see him ever reaching “Boss Status”.
